Clover in the garden: information about the flowering period

Clover as a blooming ground cover in the garden

If you keep rabbits or guinea pigs yourself, then you can grow the clover in the garden as a fodder plant with little care. Last but not least, one of the positive properties of red and white clover is that they also thrive in damp and rather cool locations. The pretty, spherical flowers of the clover also serve as a source of nectar and pollen for the following insects:

  • Bees
  • Bumblebees
  • Butterflies

The flowering time of red and white clover

The red and white clover differ in their eponymous flower color and also somewhat in their growth characteristics. However, depending on their location, both types of clover bloom between May and October. The individual flowers of the clover bloom significantly longer than in many other plants.

Tips

Since the clover is usually very hard-wearing, it can also serve as a flowering lawn substitute.
