Flower pot in cake topper

You will need an old beer mat, transparent adhesive tape, a nice cake topper, various decorative ribbons depending on the occasion and cling film.

  1. Place the beer mat (or a piece of cardboard the same size) in the center of the cake top.
  2. Place the flower pot on the lid.
  3. Now carefully take the top of the cake from all sides up to the edge of the flower pot.
  4. Try to make regular wrinkles.
  5. Tape the tip together by sticking the tape on one side under the edge of the flower pot and then looping it around the pot once. This is how the tip holds together.
  6. Now you can tie one or more decorative ribbons of your choice around the pot. If the tape slips, secure it with the clear tape.
  7. Now pull the tip down a little so that it is like a wreath around the flower.
  8. Now take a piece of cling film that is at least three times as long as the flower is tall.
  9. Place the flower in the middle of the cling film and bring the corners of the film up over the flower.
  10. Loosely press the film that protrudes from the side against the flower pot and fasten it again with transparent adhesive tape (lead the adhesive tape around once around the edge of the pot and let it overlap).
  11. Now tie the foil a piece over the flower with a decorative ribbon.

Flower pot in a shoebox

If you don't want to wrap the flower in paper, you can make a pretty planter to give away. A disused shoe box, for example, is suitable for this. To do this, reduce the size of the box so that there is just enough space for the flower pot. Shorten the side pieces, bend the bottom up as the fourth side and secure it with tape. Now you can spice up the box as you wish with:

  • small paintings
  • lots of colorful stickers
  • glued colored paper
  • different tips

Just let your imagination run wild.

Now place the flower in the pot. If the flower is wrapped in cling film, it looks even more elegant.
