  1. Puree the raspberries with a normal mixer or with a “Flotten Lotte”. The latter is nothing more than a hand-operated kitchen appliance with which you can chop berries and many other fruits quickly and gently.
  2. Then brush the obtained raspberry mixture through a fine-meshed sieve. The following applies: the finer the sieve, the fewer raspberry pits manage to find their way through the holes. They usually get stuck in the tight mesh. Metal and tea strainers are particularly suitable.

Tips

  • Clean the sieve under running water immediately after use. In this way you will be able to remove the cores without too much effort. If you wait too long to get the screen clean, it can be a tedious task.
  • If you have a fruit and berry grinder, you can also use it. Such a device is very practical, especially when you want to process larger quantities.
  • Sometimes it is enough to press the washed and dried raspberries through a sieve with a spoon. However, this method can be very exhausting.

Better not to remove the raspberry seeds

Most people want to pit raspberries because, unfortunately, the fine kernels tend to get caught between the teeth. This can limit the enjoyment, especially when consuming delicious jam. It should be noted, however, that the kernels are not harmful, on the contrary. They contain valuable minerals.

Our recommendation: If you do not find the seeds of raspberries bothersome, you should not remove them, regardless of what you want to conjure up from your fruits. Possible are for example:

  • Drinks / shakes
  • sweet soups
  • jam
  • fruity mus
