Japanese Kokedamas, which translates as moss balls, are innovative and creative. For this purpose, peat-containing potting soil is mixed with water and formed into solid balls. Moss pads collected in the forest or garden can be draped around the ball and wrapped tightly with fishing line or a similar binding material. For a splash of color, flower bulbs are inserted into the substrate ball before it is covered with moss.

To ensure that moss retains its lush green color as a houseplant, spray the cushion regularly with soft water. This care is required daily in a sunny location with low humidity. Ideally, place the fluffy green decoration in a partially shaded to shady location with high humidity, such as the bathroom.
