Don't follow a clearly defined schedule of taking the watering can to your window leaf. Rather, the water balance depends on various factors such as the season, the local location or the size of the plants. How to do it right:

The aim is a moist substrate that dries up in the meantime
When the surface is dry, pour thoroughly until the coaster fills
Pour out the coaster after 10 minutes
Spray the leaves regularly with lime-free water

Please mainly use rainwater or decalcified tap water. If a window leaf is mainly poured with hard water, leaf chlorosis results, in which the leaves turn yellow and die off.
