Since sunlight does not penetrate the material, photosynthesis is stopped and the wild plants perish. Useful and ornamental plants, on the other hand, are optimally supplied with all nutrients, air and water due to their permeable structure.
Installation instructions for floor fleece
- First, completely rid the area of weeds. If this were not done, strong weed plants could pierce the thinner qualities. With thicker fabrics, weeds could grow cheekily out of the planting holes.
- Lay the fleece immediately after cultivating the soil so that the weeds do not germinate again immediately.
- Spread out the weed control (€ 28.90 at Amazon *) and weigh it down on the edge with stones or bricks. This prevents it from slipping.
- If the material is to be applied to sloping areas, you must also secure it with ground anchors.
- Lay out all the plants to check their position again later.
- Cut a not too large cross into the material at the places where you want to plant the plants.
- After planting, lay the fleece close to the stems.
- Finally, cover the bottom fleece with a thin layer of earth, bark mulch or gravel.
Weed control under paving stones
If you want to enjoy permanently weed-free paths, we recommend laying floor fleece for the system.
Cover the already excavated area to be paved completely with the material and anchor the fabric with pegs. This is essential as the fleece is exposed to much greater loads.
Then apply the undercoat and smooth it out carefully. After that, you can pave the path as desired.
Tips
Solar radiation has a noticeable effect on the durability of weed control. If you cover the material with mulch or a layer of earth, the more stable qualities will last for around 25 years.
