Aloe vera is believed to originate from Africa and grows in many tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It loves the sun and, thanks to its ability to store water in the leaves, copes well with drought.
The flowers of the aloe vera, which is also called desert lily, have lily-typical colors:
- red,
- orange,
- yellow.
The aloe flowers from around the age of three. Between March and May an erect, axillary inflorescence appears. A cool place (10-15 ° C) is ideal for wintering. During this time there is much less watering and no fertilization.
Tips
On one inflorescence one can observe simultaneously - from bottom to top - withered flowers, fully developed flowers and buds.
