Winter protection only for newly planted raspberries
If you have planted a new row of raspberries or a raspberry hedge in autumn, you should cover the young plants over the winter.
The following are suitable for this:
- Mulch cover
- Fir branches
- straw
- Protective fleece
Winter protection for raspberries in the pot
Raspberries in the tub tend to suffer from the cold, as the earth in the pot freezes through much faster. Therefore, protect it with foil or other suitable materials.
Place the bucket against a sheltered wall and don't forget to water the plants occasionally.
