Better cut off the flower of the Venus flytrap

Flowers draw a lot of power from the Venus flytrap

If you notice flower roots, you should cut them off immediately. The more a Venus flytrap blooms, the fewer traps will develop.

Cut off the flower stems at the base and discard them.

You can also breed new Venus flytraps from the seeds formed in the pollinated flowers. In this case, leave two inflorescences until they have dried up.

Tips

When you want to harvest seeds, make sure that the flower is fertilized. Shake out ripe seeds carefully and store them in the refrigerator until sowing. You can then sow the seeds in early spring.
