Beautiful gifts from flowers - roses grow

A wax bouquet lasts forever

If you want it to be quick, you can briefly dip the preserved roses in wax and then arrange the waxed flowers into a beautiful bouquet. Unfortunately, other flowers are not suitable for this type of preservation, as they are too sensitive for this.

What you need to grow roses

To grow roses you of course need roses (either individual stems or a whole bouquet) as well as either some candle scraps or wax granulate (available in craft stores), which is used for the production of candles. Depending on your taste, you can use colorless or colored wax. You will also need an old saucepan or other heat-resistant container.

Roses grow step by step

As a first step, fill the heat-resistant container (food cans are wonderfully suitable for this purpose) with the wax and place it in a saucepan with hot water. Melt the wax in the water bath until it is liquid enough to dip a rose in. The temperature of the wax should not be more than 60 ° C, otherwise the flowers will turn brown. Dip the flower head in the liquid wax and gently rock it back and forth. Let excess wax drip off and then dry the flower head.

Preserving roses with glycerine

Another, also very promising method of preserving roses can be carried out with the help of glycerine. For this, however, you need more than just a few minutes, because the glycerin takes a few days to even weeks before it has penetrated the last pore of the rose. Place the fresh roses in a vase with fresh, lukewarm water. You have added liquid glycerine to this, which the rose then absorbs together with the water. The rose is fully preserved when small glycerine droplets emerge from the flowers.

Tips

If you want it to be quick, you can also dry roses in the microwave. Place the flowers on kitchen paper and cover them with them too. Now switch on the microwave and check about every 30 seconds whether the rose has finished drying.
