Reasons for yellow leaves
Most of the time the leaves turn yellow from the tips. At some point the yellow turns into brown and the leaves are noticeably drying up. If you see yellow leaves on your daisy, cut them back or cut them off.
Most of the time, one of the following causes is behind the yellow discolored leaves:
- heat
- dryness
- sudden change of location (e.g. after wintering)
- wrong wintering
- Pest infestation (especially spider mites)
- Root rot
- too dark location
- Nutritional deficiency
- Overfertilization
- Insufficient humidity (e.g. indoor culture)
Tips
Freshly bought daisies have more yellow leaves. This is usually because they are in too small a pot with too few nutrients. Repotting helps here!
