Corn for dogs - harmful or healthy?

Corn in measure, not in bulk

Physiologically speaking, dogs - just like humans - are omnivores and therefore need a healthy portion of vegetables and grains in addition to meat. While corn is very healthy, your dog should only eat this delicacy in moderation. Corn on the cob contains a lot of carbohydrates that are converted into sugar and can therefore make you fat. Since corn is healthy and cheap, commercially available dry feed also consists of a large proportion of corn kernels.

Tips & Tricks

Field corn was often sprayed with toxic pesticides. Please do not let your dog eat it, rather give him fresh maize from the garden.
