Passion flowers are summer bloomers
Passiflora cultivated in this country, the botanically correct name of the passion flowers, begin their flowering period around May / June - and often show their splendor well into September. The individual flowers are only one to two days old, although in some species they can also close overnight. Passiflora kept in the garden or on the balcony usually bloom more profusely than the necessarily smaller indoor plants. The climbing plant can grow up to six meters (some specimens even higher).
Tips & Tricks
If your passion flower does not want to bloom, there can be many causes. In many cases the unwillingness to bloom is due to the wrong location, because the tropical plant prefers a sunny and warm place.
