When are peonies in season?

From spring to early summer

The season of the peonies depends on their relatively short flowering time. The first peonies are usually available in April. The high season has come at the beginning of June and lasts until shortly after Pentecost. You should then find the last copies at the end of June / beginning of July.

What else you should know:

  • Unit price is higher than that of roses
  • However, flowers are larger than roses
  • ideal for bouquets
  • entire plant is in season until September (leaves only die then)
  • Planting season is in autumn

Tips

After the peonies have bloomed, other flowers such as roses do almost justice to the plants. Before the season of the peonies, however, it is the ranunculus.
