The right location for the hussar's head

  • Full sun
  • at most partially shaded, but bright
  • warm location
  • no rain or wind protection required

The annual hussar button is a very flowering plant for the rock garden. Mostly, however, it is cared for in buckets or pots on the balcony.

The warmer and sunnier the location, the more abundant and longer the flowering will be. In a favorable place, it can last from June until the first frost.

The hussar button is not hardy and is grown as an annual. Wintering is not possible.

Tips

Plant hussar buttons as close as possible to the edge of the planter. Then the long tendrils can hang down decoratively on the sides.
